Christmas is three sleeps away and New Years is just around the corner. It is so crazy how fast 2016 has flown by. I am hoping that time slows down so I can enjoy my time at home with family a little longer. I am loving being home with family during the holidays and catching up with old friends. Alongside that, I have been major planning for 2017. I may say this every year, but 2017 is going to be a big one for me. I am so excited to have a fresh start to the year and accomplish some resolutions that I have had for years now. (You will see more about them soon) I always try to take advantage of the concept of New Years and new resolutions/goals. I have never been one to sit around and wait for things to happen and I don’t plan to anytime soon. There is no better feeling then getting the chance to start over and having a clear mindset going into the New Year. Setting the bar high for the New Year will helps me to accomplish things I never thought I could. I love change, whether it is something as little as a new hairstyle or something as big as moving to a new city without knowing anyone. With every passing New Year brings the opportunity for change. I encourage you to make that change and accomplish what you have always wanted to… why wait?
Now the real talk about New Years…. what to wear for the occasion. I have been obsessing over the different trends that have been happening recently such as metallic, velvet, blush pink tones and neutrals. I think nailed just about all of those in this outfit post. I spotted this Metallic Dress from Urban Outfitters and saw it as the perfect opportunity for New Years. Whatever you plans may be, you can style this in so many different ways. I love the idea of put a short sleeve basic white tee underneath it for a more casual look or to glam it up with a leather jacket and some statement jewelry or a choker like I did. New Years is a fun time to play with sparkle, metallics, and fun jewelry so I am taking advantage of it while I can. I hope you all have a fun and safe New Years and a Merry Christmas!!
