As you probably have already seen, I spent this Thanksgiving in Vail, Colorado with my family. I am so used to 75 degree weather all year round and seeing palm trees on repeat so I was so happy to get a little change of scenery with the snow. I love Vail this time of year. It is filled with Christmas cheer and holiday decorations. It is the absolute cutest little town. We stayed right in between Vail Village and Lionshead Village so everything was walking distance and we didn't have to drive anywhere, it was soooo nice! We never had to go far to find dinner (or a good spot for hot chocolate). We spent Thanksgiving day preparing the food and stayed in for most of the day other than heading to Garfinkles in the Village (our fav mountain side spot) to grab some hot chocolate. On Friday we decided to head up the mountain to try out the new roller coaster at the very top. It just opened this summer and I would highly recommend trying it if you are there! It was SO fun and the views are sooo incredible! (side note: bundle up because that thing picks up speed and we were freezing!!!). We then headed over to Vail Village to walk around and grab some food at our favorite mexican place that we used to go to on our annual ski trips. We were able to fit in a half day of skiing on Saturday and then headed out on Sunday! It was such a fun trip and went by way to fast! I can't believe Christmas is already in a coulpe weeks!
Prior to this trip, I struggled packing, again living in LA, I don't own a whole lot of cold weather clothes so I had to pull together what I did have. For most days that we were there, it was cold but sunny so I knew that being in the sun I would get hot if I was all bundled up. This Barbour Jacket was the perfect weight for staying warm but not getting too hot! I have gotten soooo much use out of this Jacket. Whether it be when I am heading out in the mornings when the weather is chilly or headed to a barre class, it is so easy to throw on and go. It is a great weight and so easy to move in! Of course I had to bring my Hunter boots given that I never get to wear them in LA. I finished off my outfits with a light weight turtle neck (from J. Crew, total life savers), which I have in three different colors, the cutest beanie, and some leg warmers and gloves! This was just one of my outfits from this trip and I can't wait to share more with you!
Hope you all have a great week!
